ACURA'S PASSIONATE PERFORMER INTRODUCING THE TSX
The TSX has such light, nimble handling, you'll be exhilarated from the very first curve you carve up. You can choose between the lightweight 201-hp, in-line 4 or the more powerful 280-hp V-6. And with features such as VSA, Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and the available Acura Navigation System along for the ride, the concrete is yours to conquer. The TSX 2.4-liter engine provides smooth, vibration-free operation that contributes to its sport sedan agility. Engine items that reduce vibration include:
- Dual balance shafts that turn in opposite directions at twice the engine speed to offset vibration from piston motion
- A rigid aluminum block and head
- Lightweight pistons and valves
- A silent cam chain
The TSX is a testament to superior craftsmanship. This is readily apparent in the tightness of the body seams, the meticulously clean edges, and the way the taillights line up perfectly on both sides of the trunk lid seam. The same attention to detail extends to the areas you can't readily see. Tight tolerances in the fitting of suspension, steering and drivetrain contribute to a feeling of solidity that will last throughout your years of ownership.

BRINGING MODERN TO THE MINIVAN INTRODUCING THE ODYSSEY
You don't need to have kids to appreciate the Odyssey looks. The fact that it's a family vehicle is almost concealed by its low-slung, modern profile, which is both attention-grabbing and aerodynamic. Its rear roofline spoiler with integrated brakelight complements the Odyssey's athletic stance. If the unthinkable happens, the Odyssey helps protect its passengers with theAdvanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure, which is designed to absorb impacts of vehicles of various sizes in the event of front-end collisions. Honda is committed to providing safety for everyone-that means crash protection not only for our own drivers and passengers, but also for the occupants of other vehicles, and injury mitigation for pedestrians. We are dedicated to identifying and implementing advanced designs and features that help enhance the safety of vehicles on the road. (Honda.com)

Top Five Ways to Make Your Car Run Forever Obviously there's no way a car can run forever but you can, however, greatly extend the life of your vehicle, while simultaneously reducing the possibility of mechanical mishaps. The following five terms are very rdimentary and apply to all vehicles from a brand new car, to one with over 100,000 miles. Most of them may seem like common sense but, as you read, ask yourself how often you actually practice what is you're reading.
(edmunds.com)
Follow Your Service Schedule - Obviously this one's a no-brainer, but there are still too many car owners out there who pay little or no attention to their vehicle maintenance schedule as laid out by the manufacturer. This is particularly inexcusable in late model cars that do everything but drive themselves to the dealership at the appropriate time. Keeping up to date with all required maintenance will surely enhance the life of your vehicle.
Check Fluids and Tire Pressure Regularly - Every car owner has been guilty of going too long between vital fluid and tire pressure checks. Here's a task that takes maybe 10 minutes. With a rag in hand and the engine cool you open the hood and pull the oil dipstick. Wipe it clean, re-insert it, and pull it out again for a quick check of the most important engine fluid. Do this with all fluids used to operate the car properly. Finally, with the tires cool, use a pressure gauge to make sure each tire as the proper psi according to the owner's manual and/or tire manufacturer. Ideally, this procedure should be done once a week but in the real world once a month would be acceptable (except for the tire pressure which really should be checked at least bi-weekly).
Go Easy During Startup - A cold engine (one that has sat for more than five hours) will have little or no oil left on the moving parts because it has all seeped down into the oil pan. It takes only a few second after start-up for the oil to pump to adequately lubricate an engine. During those few seconds, however, is when you should keep engine RPMs down to a minimum. Give the engine at least 30 seconds (longer if it has sat for more than 24 hours) before popping it in to gear.
Use a Single, High Grade Fuel - It's tough to justify an extra 20 cent-per-gallon just to get that high octane rating and if you drive a Cavalier or Neon, it's probably not worth it. Alternatively, using the highest quality fuel available is another small investment that will give big returns on both performance and long-term engine life. Late model, high compression engines have knock sensors and other high-tech devices to theoretically keep them from hurting themselves on today's low-grade gasoline. Whether you drive a Viper or Neon, sticking to the same brand of gasoline can reduce the chance of deposits building up within your fuel system.
Drive Smart - This is not pertaining to a D.U.I. or B.A.C. (although driving drunk is quite stupid), this is in regards to smart from a vehicle longevity standpoint. If you've got a new Camaro Z28 or Mustang Cobra it's hard to refrain from stoplights and upshift at 3,000 rpm every time you take a spin. Just try not to dump the clutch at seven grand and bounce it off the rev-limiter every time you're out on the town. The same goes for braking and shifting. The occasional speed-shift and panic stop isn't going to hurt anything but a consistancy in this will take away from potential drive time while greatly adding to vehicle down time. Relax, make a regular check of the gauges and save the enthusiastic stuff for a sanctioned race event or, at the very least, that occasional deserted road. Your car will thank you for it!
