Things slowed back down after the oil crisis
and Honda had already introduced a small line of automobiles. Reluctant
at first, Honda East began selling the cars to offset the slow sales
of motorcycles in the cold Ohio winters.

 Soon
people began talking about these great cars called Hondas, they were
priced great, good with gas mileage and best of all they ran problem
free for what seemed like forever! Consumers caught on quickly and
Honda Automobiles such as the Civic
CVCC and Accord were now selling in
volume. In 1981 Honda East soon expanded
to its current location on Scarborough Boulevard on the East side
of Columbus, Ohio and became one of the first single point Honda dealerships
in the country!

It was in 1986 that Honda came out with the
world’s first Japanese  luxury
brand, Acura. With the introduction of the Legend and Integra, both
well-recognized names in the car industry, Acura set the standard
for quality and luxury in the same nameplate. In 1988 Lindsay Acura
opened its doors selling every Legend and Integra the factory would
send. Soon more models came in the name of Vigor,
CL, NSX, and RSX. Today the Acura brand speaks for itself by
offering industry standard models such as the infamous MDX,
TL, TL-S, RL, RDX Turbo and TSX.
